Bio

Byron Devers joined Antelope Valley College as the Sports Information Director in 2019.

Byron’s professional career includes a background in television production, where he worked for Warner Bros. Studios, Fox Studios, and on several Academy Award shows with ABC. He went on to spend over a decade as the Vice President of Marketing for Big Fish Audio, the world’s largest distributor of music sample libraries. Before moving into the Athletics Department full time as the Sports Information Director, Devers spent time as a Marketing Specialist with Antelope Valley College, where he wrote marketing content and handled social media responsibilities.

He currently manages all day-to-day marketing assets and content for the Marauder Athletics website and social media. In addition to launching the first Digital Media Guide for the Athletics department, he manages live-stats for all AVC Athletics events and is responsible for all statistical reporting to the CCCAA and Western States Conference for the Marauders. He established and manages all in-house live-stream broadcasts for Marauder Athletics.

A California native, Byron holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from Oral Roberts University, where he co-founded, co-produced, and wrote for the university’s first weekly television sports news show. He resides in Palmdale, CA, with his wife of 25 years and his two sons.
