LANCASTER - It wasn't a memorable final home match of the season for the Marauder women's volleyball team as it fell in straight sets to 14th ranked College of the Canyons, 25-12, 25-18, 25-18, Wednesday night at Marauder Gymnasium.
Kaeley Avendano led the Marauders with five kills and she also finished with four digs. Bella Bradford finished with four kills and two digs and four other Marauders finished with two kills. Tiffany Matchett added 14 digs.
The Cougars' Emily Burns finished with a double-double with 16 kills and 10 digs and teammate Ashley Sargent had nine kills and nine digs.
It was the second time this season that AVC (5-12, 1-6) was swept by COC (18-4, 5-1), which trails first place Bakersfield College by one game.
