BAKERSFIELD - The Marauder women's volleyball team got off to an impressive start by winning the first set against Bakersfield College, but it was not enough as the Renegades won the next three and took the match, 15-25, 25-20, 25-21, 25-9, Wednesday night at Bakersfield College.
"We had our ups and downs against a very tough team," AVC head coach Mark Cruz said. "We have to finish off teams when we have a chance. I hope that we develop that drive sooner than later."
Tiffany Matchett led AVC with 22 kills and 11 digs. Asia DeVera had 23 assists for the Marauders, which dropped to 0-2 in conference.
