DUNCAN WINS AGAIN IN BAKERSFIELD
BAKERSFIELD - Sometimes when you're running against the clock and not the field it's tough.
Just ask Marauder 400 meter runner Jasmane Duncan.
In AVC's most recent meet in Bakersfield, Duncan again was running against herself as she easily won her specialty event with a time of 59.02, easily defeating College of the Canyons' Celeste Gonzalez by more than 3 1/2 seconds.
Duncan hasn't had much competition all season, however, that will change in AVC's up coming meets.
Cherice Thomas was third in the 200 (28.08) and Destiny Ventura also finished third in the 400 hurdles (1:07.35).
The Marauders had success on the field side as Robyn Webb was first in the hammer (114-11), second in the discus (94-07) and fourth in the shot put (31-01.50). Teammate Anna-Helene Augusta was fourth in the discus (80-06) and second behind Webb in the hammer (107-11).
