LANCASTER - The Marauder women's shot very poorly from 3-point range finishing the game only 2-of-16 from behind the arc in a losing effort, 50-45, to Citrus College.
Shekinah Broadway led AVC with 16 points, five assists and four rebounds. Shantanel Bivens finished with nine points and nine rebounds.
The Marauders, which committed 23 turnovers, trailed only 19-15 at halftime but were outscored 20-12 in the third quarter and they could not recover.
AVC (6-11, 1-1) shot only 20 percent in the first half and 29 percent for the game. Citrus (9-6, 2-0) wasn't much better finishing the game shooting only 30 percent.
