AVC Softball beat Glendale College 15-2 at home for their 20th straight victory. The Marauders totaled 17 hits in the contest the while making no errors in the five innings of play.
AVC opened up with seven runs in the 1st inning led by a two-RBI homer from Pricilla Gomez Lopez and a two-RBI double from Isabelle Gomez. Gomez finished 2-for-3 with 2 RBIs. Rosie Marquez also had a first-inning double with an RBI. Marquez ended 2-for-3.
In the second inning, Camrynn Stanbro and Maritza Arroyo both doubled combining for three RBIs. Allison Williams also hit an RBI single to increase the lead. Stanbro finished 2-for-4 with two RBIs while Arroyo finished 1-for-2 with an RBI.
Diana Rodriguez and Ariana Gonzalez sealed the early victory for the Marauders with RBI singles in the 4th inning.
Isabelle Gomez and Diana Rodriguez combined for five strikeouts while giving up only two runs. Briana Garrett also had five Ks with no earned runs.
AVC will play a doubleheader on the road against Mt. San Antonio before returning home on Tuesday, April 23rd to face LA Valley in their final regular season game. The Marauders are 30-7 and 13-0 in conference.
