AVC Softball outlasted Fullerton College 2-0 to push their streak to 18 straight wins. In a defensive battle that saw only three hits from Antelope Valley and four hits from Fullerton, both teams played mistake-free softball in search of a tough victory.
The Hornets (26-5) visited AVC after winning 13 of their last 14 games. The game remained scoreless until Camrynn Stanbro singled to left scoring Ariana Gonzales in the 4th inning.
The only other score came in the 6th inning when AVC added an insurance run as Briana Garrett hit a sacrifice fly scoring Alyssa Tami. Garrett also had eight strikeouts in seven innings of work.
The Marauders are now 28-7 overall and 11-0 at home. They will take on College of the Canyons away, before returning home to take on Glendale College on April 18th at 2:30 pm.
