Men's Volleyball lost a tough battle to Santa Barbara City College 1-3. AVC fell behind 0-2 (24-26, 13-25) before winning the third set 26-24. Led by Julian Green's 11 kills and Matthew Lee's 11 kills and three blocks, the Marauders gained momentum in the middle of the third set and continued to dictate much of the pace in the fourth and final set before losing 24-26.
Brandon Holderbach-Lee had an impressive match with three aces, 31 assists, two blocks, 16 digs, 9nine kills. Anthony Merzoian and Gerardo Villarreal each finished with eight digs. Villarreal also had five kills while Gamaliel Escobar had 11 digs. Joshua Pinedo finished with two aces.
The Marauders (1-9) have now lost five straight in conference. They will face Santa Monica, El Camino, and LA Pierce on the road before returning home on March 29th to face Long Beach.
