MARAUDER MEN'S VOLLEYBALL TEAM EARNS FIRST VICTORY IN SCHOOL HISTORY

LANCASTER - The Marauder men's volleyball team lost the first set against Palomar College, but responded by winning the next three and with it recorded the first-ever victory in school history with a 12-25, 25-15, 25-16, 35-33 victory Wednesday evening at Marauder Gymnasium.
Timothy Porter set a school-record for kills in a match with 20 on only 28 attempts, which was also a career-high for him dating back to his freshman year at Santa Monica College.
AVC (1-2) lost the first set which was its seventh in a row to start the season before responding in the next two and hanging on to a fourth set thriller.
Devon Carr had a career-high 12 kills and Jonathan Atianzar set a school-record for assists with 45. Justin Humphrey and Caled Holifield each added seven and nine kills respectively and Jordan Vasconcelos chipped in with six aces.
