CARRINGTON TAKES FIRST IN TRIPLE JUMP, SECOND IN LONG JUMP

BAKERSFIELD - AVC's men's track and field standout Imani Carrington outdueled College of the Canyons' Delon Buncio to capture first place in the triple jump at the Western State Conference inland meet at Bakersfield College.
Carrington was well off his personal best mark, but still leaped 41-06.00 defeating Buncio who was second in 41-04.25.
Carrington also finished second in the long jump (21-03.25) as Santa Monica College's Ozima Ogele edged him out with a jump of 21-05.00.
Matthew Skoog was first in the hammer throw with a season-best toss of 129-05, and he finished fifth in the discus (114-08).
Robert Moore was third in the 110 hurdles (16.43) and Samuel Aguirre was sixth in the 3000 meter run (9:14.32).
