ATHLETES FROM ALL OVER ATTEND AVC'S ALL-COMER MEET
LANCASTER - It's still early and the Marauder men's track and field team has many unanswered questions.
And on Saturday several athletes stepped on the track in the opening meet at Antelope Valley College in the annual All-Comer Meet, the first meet of the season.
The meet included the Marauders, Bakersfield College and former collegiate athletes and some current high school athletes.
AVC's Cameron Windham took home the 100-meter victory clocking a time of 11.38. Windham finished sixth in the 200, crossing the line in 23.56.
The Marauders had a couple of runner in the 400 led by Christian Heads who finished eighth (55.83) and Joe Wilkerson (61.64) finishing 15th.
Fernando Flores (4:31.20) finished fourth in the 1600 and teammate Samuel Dinh (4:37.61) was eighth. Cedric Spivey and Robert Moore were 1-2 in both 110 and 400 hurdles. Spivey crossed the line in 16.38 and 63.58 respectively, while Moore had times of 16.67 and 66.47.
Robert Wheatley and Matthew Skoog flip flopped places in the discus and hammer. Wheatley was fourth in the discus and fifth in the hammer, while Skoog was fifth in the discus and fourth in the hammer. Isaiah Lindsey finished in sixth in both the shot put and the hammer.
