LANCASTER - Vince Lewis scored both Marauder goals including the game-winner with two minutes remaining in the match to lift AVC to a 2-1 victory over Bakersfield Friday at Marauder Stadium.
Lewis scored the first goal of the match at 26 minutes which gave the Marauders a 1-0 lead, which they took into halftime. The Renegades opened the second half only three minutes in following a goal from Edui Pardo, which tied the score, 1-1.
The teams battled until AVC scored off a play that head coach Jerry Stupar said they practice all the time. Jose Mojica found Lewis for the game winner with only a few minutes remaining.
AVC finished its season with a 9-8-2 overall record, while Bakersfield finished 3-13-5.
