GLENDORA - The Marauder men's soccer team began the second half of conference play with a 2-0 loss at the hands of leader Citrus College, Friday at Citrus College.
The Marauders dropped to 2-3-1 in conference, behind the Owls 4-1-1 and Glendale 3-1-2. Bakersfield also moved up to a tie with AVC following its 1-0 victory over Victor Valley College.
Citrus scored on goals in the first half at 34:28 and added some insurance in the second half with a goal at 74:13.
If there ever was a must-win for AVC it would have to come on Tuesday when it hosts Glendale for a chance to trim the gap in the conference.
