KLUNDT SHOOTS SEASON BEST AT RANCHO VISTA

Marauder golf's Tanner Klundt shot a season-low 71 as AVC played a second local league match of the season. Rancho Vista Golf Course was in excellent shape and conditions were fair, as Klundt tied for the 5th best score of the day, just two strokes behind leader Ethan Posthumus from College of the Canyons.
Tanner broke par and showcased his talents by making good course decisions. "I loved playing at Rancho today, especially with the wind picking up as the round went on. My drives were great because I put myself in a position to score throughout the round. I gave myself 15 chances to make a birdie and succeeded on five of them, so I'm proud about that." said Klundt. "I had a blast out there. I'm excited for our next match in Bakersfield."
The Marauders also logged a season-low team score as Drew Degeorge shot a 78 and Ethan Phillips a season-best 78. Connor Jazwiecki logged an 81, and Luke Carnegie recorded an 82 season-best.
"It's rare that we get the opportunity to play two league matches here locally. Rancho is in excellent shape, and it was great to see the players take advantage of the conditions and post a respectable team score," said head coach Brad Hazard. "Ethan has been close to breaking through all season so I was happy to see him put together a solid 18," he added.
AVC's next tournament will be Monday in Bakersfield.
