Men's Golf competed at Bakersfield College's home course, Rio Bravo Country Club this past weekend. Weather impacted play as the temperatures were in the 40s with 30mph winds. But that didn't stop freshman Tanner Klundt from shooting one of his best rounds of the season. He finished at 77, the third-best score on the day, just two shots behind the leader.
"I'm very impressed with Tanner's performance today. He displayed mental toughness, staying positive and playing one shot at a time on a day where the majority of his competitors let the terrible conditions affect their play," commented head coach Brad Hazard. "He was consistent and confident with his driver and made good decisions on the course today," he added.
Drew Degeorge finished at 84 for the Marauders, while Daniel Degeorge and Luke Carnegie both shot 85.
AVC's next tournament will be at Olivas Links Golf Course in Ventura.
