Brennen Boulger shot a 73 which tied him for the third lowest round at the Antelope Valley Invite. Brennen had five birdies and only 25 putts on the day. "He is in a great groove at the right time of the season," said head coach Brad Hazard. Brennen has been playing excellent golf as he recently shot a 72 at Santa Maria. "I've been very impressed with his mental approach and maturity on the course. On a day where he wasn't feeling comfortable with his swing, he relied on his short game to keep his score low," added coach Hazard.
Boulger led AVC on the day, but it was Trevor Hoffmeyer who had the highlight of the day as he chipped in on holes 9 and 10 for back to back eagles. Hoffmeyer finished with a 79, which was the second lowest score for the Marauders. "Was happy for Trevor come through for us. He's been putting in a lot of time on the course, and it was good to see it pay off today." noted coach Hazard.
AVC scored a total of 416 for the tournament which placed them in 6th for the round. They are currently 7th in the conference and will tee off at Spring Valley Lakes in Victor Valley on March 25th.
