MARAUDER FOOTBALL FALLS TO SANTA ANA
The Antelope Valley College football team hosted Sanata Ana on Saturday. Marauder mistakes proved to be too costly in the event as the AVC squad fell 37-6 in the contest.
Both teams remained scoreless at the ocnclusio of the first quarter as they struggled to find an offensive rythmn on either side of the ball. Antelope Valley scored first with 12:07 remaining in the second quarter on a 23 yard pass from Brian Adams to Jaylen Miller. Santa Ana answered with a 23 yard field goal at the seven minute mark. Neither team would score again before the end of the first half with AVC entering the intersession leading 6-3. Santa Ana gained momentum in the second half with 14 points in the third quarter and 20 points in the fourth.
