Bio

Bennett Schiltz comes to Antelope Valley College after spending three seasons at Wheaton College in Illinois. In two full seasons, his pitching staffs rank first and third in school single-season strikeouts and earned a berth in the conference tournament each year. Prior to his time at Wheaton, Schiltz spent one season at Washington College in Maryland. In his lone season there, his pitching staff cut almost a full run off the previous season's ERA while posting a nine-win improvement from the year before.

Schiltz got his start in coaching as a graduate assistant at Frostburg State University in Maryland, where he worked with pitchers and catchers. In his first season, the Bobcats earned a trip to the Division 3 Tournament. He graduated with a Master of Education with a focus in human performance and business in 2017.

Schiltz is a 2015 graduate of Frostburg State University. In his senior year, he was named a third-team Division 3 All-American and helped lead his team to the Division 3 World Series Semifinal. He is no stranger to junior college baseball, having played at Glendale Community College to begin his college career.
