AVC Baseball won a non-conference match-up against West Hills Coalinga Falcons 10-2 on Monday.
After a scoreless first two innings, AVC got on the board when Joe Uribe doubled to score Nathan Duarte. Dom Antinetti then singled to bring home Uribe. Ariv Camacho hit an RBI double to give the Marauders a 3-0 lead after 3 innings. AVC added two more runs in the 4th inning from a Julian Blackwell 2-RBI single and an unearned run in the 5th when Antinetti scored off an error by the Falcons.
West Hills got on the board with two unearned runs in the 6th inning but gave one run back when Joe Uribe scored on a passed ball in the 7th.
Antelope Valley closed the door with a three-run 8th inning that included a Zach Terry RBI double and an RBI single from Ariv Camacho. Camacho finished 3 for 5 with 2 RBI, while Blackwell and Antinetti both finished with 2 runs batted in. Ethan Wendell was the winning pitcher with 3 K's in 5 innings. Sam Maudsley also had 3 K's in relief.
The Marauders (2-1) will travel to Taft and Cerro Coso before returning home to face Barstow on Wednesday, 2/9.
