MARAUDERS TOP WEST LA 7-3
AVC Baseball scored seven runs off 12 hits to beat West LA college 7-3 in the first of a three-game stint with the Wildcats.

AVC Baseball scored seven runs off 12 hits to beat West LA college 7-3 in the first of a three-game stint with the Wildcats. West LA scored first with a run in the 1st inning, but the Marauders quickly responded with three runs in the bottom of the first. It was Andrew Garia who led the charge with a two-RBI single to center field. Garcia finished 2-for-3 with a walk and two RBIs.
The Wildcats came back with a run in the 4th inning, but again the Marauders answered right back with a run from a Wrench Perry RBI single to score Freddie Garcia. Perry finished 2-for-4 with an RBI.
AVC then added some insurance runs in the 6th inning off a two-RBI single to center by Celso Castro IV. Castro IV finished with a game-leading 3 hits and two RBIs. Carlos Martinez-Mora also finished 2-for3 with an RBI while Wyatt Hendrie went 2-for-2.
JJ Holiday picked up the win with eight strikeouts on the day while Spencer Foley got the save.
The Marauders are now 13-20 on the season and 7-10 in conference. They play a doubleheader at West LA before returning home on Tuesday to start a three-game series against Citrus.
