AVC BASEBALL GETS 12-7 WIN IN FOURTH MEETING AGAINST BARSTOW
The Marauders lost the three previous season match-ups against Barstow but was able to generate enough offense to prevail in their fourth and final regular-season meeting.

AVC Baseball improved to 12-19 on the season with a 12-7 victory over Barstow. The Marauders lost the three previous season match-ups against Barstow but was able to generate enough offense to prevail in their fourth and final regular-season meeting.
AVC scored first and had a one-point lead after three innings of play, but the Vikings tied it up in the 4th inning. Barstow took a 5-4 lead in the top of the 7th inning, but AVC came roaring back to score eight runs in the bottom of the inning. DH Carlos Martinez-Mora got the rally started when he singled to left to score Wyatt Hendrie. Joe Lamont also singled to score Yorman Diego, while Alec Sanchez hit a double to score Freddie Garcia and Brandon Otis. Griffin Hagen then hit a two-RBI single to put the Marauders up by seven.
AVC held on to get the victory as Ricky Jimenez came in to pitch striking out two batters in three innings of work.
Both Alec Sanchez and Griffin Hagen finished 3-for-4 with three RBIs. Celso Castro ended 2-for-4 with two RBIs while Wyatt Hendrie finished with one RBI going 2-for-4.
The Marauders will play at El Camino before returning home to face West LA on Thursday, April 18th at 2:30 pm.
