WOMEN'S TENNIS DOMINATES PORTERVILLE IN 9-0 VICTORY
Marauder Women's Tennis bounced back quickly from a loss on Friday to Riverside by defeating the Porterville Pirates 9-0 on Saturday at AVC.

Marauder Women's Tennis bounced back quickly from a loss on Friday to Riverside by defeating the Porterville Pirates 9-0 on Saturday at AVC.
In doubles play, Nicole Padilla and Sydney Bush won 8-1, Naia Smithley and Julie Tejeda won 8-0, and Arianett Avina and Katie Secaida won by default.
In singles action at No.1, Padilla was victorious 6-1, 6-1. At the No.2 slot, Tejeda moved up in the lineup and won 6-0, 6-0, while Avina moved up to No. 3 and won 6-1, 6-2. Secaida playing at No. 4, won 6-0, 6-1, and Bush and Smithley won at 5 and 6 by default.
"It was really great to see us make adjustments from Friday to Saturday," said Head Coach Justin Webb. "Basically, everything we discussed after Friday was an area of improvement. Moving forward, the ability to repeat that process will help us succeed."
The Marauders open Western State Conference play with a home match against Ventura College on Tuesday, January 31st, at 2:00 pm.
