CROSS COUNTRY PLACES 7TH AT VENTURA INVITATIONAL
The Marauders men's cross country program competed ventured to Ventura College for the Ventura Invitational. The Invite, which had sixteen community colleges in competition, showcased more than 90 athletes for the event.
Sophomore Ikenna Achara earned a 7th place finish on a difficulty grassy and hilly course. "Achara is normally our second or third place runner," stated head coach Wendy Jacobo. "It was great to see him pull through for a great race."
The Marauders finished the event with a team school of 175, a mere two points behind Pasadena. Other Antelope Valley athletes to earn finishing places in the event were: Freshman Jason Flores (36th), Sophomore Brock Ruble (43rd), Freshman Christopher Campana (51st), and Freshman Drew Popp (81st).
The Mauraders will return to action on Sept. 8 at the Fresno Invitational.
