Antelope Valley College Men's Basketball lost a conference game 85-77 to Citrus College at home on Saturday. The Marauders were outplayed by 10 points in the first half but came back to outscore the Owls by 2 points in the second half. Both teams shot 42.9% from the field, while AVC shot 73% from the free-throw line compared to 58% by Citrus. The Marauders finished with a +1 rebounding edge, but a 35% to 13% shooting edge for the Owls from behind the three-point line made the difference.

AVC is now 1-5 in conference (7-13 overall) and will play on the road against Glendale and West LA before returning home on February 1 to battle LA Valley.
