LANCASTER - The Marauder men's basketball team knew it had it in them.
It just took a while and it let everything on the court, Saturday night as all five starters scored in double figures and AVC had its biggest scoring output of the season as it cruised to an easy 116-74 victory over visiting Glendale College at Marauder Gymnasium.
In all, the Marauders had seven players in double figures, led by Antone Warren, who had his best game of the season with 24 points and 12 rebounds.
"I felt like everybody put their differences aside and did what we had to do. Nobody wanted the season to be over," Warren said. "We all knew we had to step up. It was a good win. We didn't have that many turnovers. We all knew that if we wanted to make playoffs, we needed this win. We got up and kept our foot on the gas."
Now the Marauders have to play the waiting game as they find out their post season fate on Monday.
Reggie Byers and Jailen Gill each scored 15 points for AVC and Gill grabbed nine rebounds, while Byers had four assists. Cory Dollarhide had 13 points and Charles Hall had 11 points and seven assists. D'Mauria Jones came off the bench to score 18 points.
AVC, which scored 30 points off 25 Glendale turnovers, led 66-29 at halftime.
