GLENDALE - The Marauder men's basketball team dropped its fourth consecutive game in a row on the road with a 90-87 overtime loss to Glendale College, Saturday evening.
AVC, which had already beaten Glendale at home, 75-71, on Jan. 6, dropped its record to 4-4 in the Western States South Division, trailing LA Valley College, Santa Monica College and Glendale College by one game in the race for second place. Bakersfield College lead the South Division with a 7-1 conference record.
The Marauders had four players score in double figures, including Chris Martin (17 points), Jalen Etienne (16 points), Gregory Wesley (16 points) and Cory Dollarhide (15 points).
AVC dug itself an 8-point halftime deficit and needed to rally in the second half to send the game into overtime. Once again the Marauders were outrebounded, which it has been most of the season, this time 45-32 against Glendale.
AVC dropped three of its last four games in conference play, all of those coming on the road. The Marauders are 7-0 at home this season.
