MARAUDER MEN'S BASKTBALL WIN FIFTH VENTURA TORUNAMENT IN SIX YEARS - BEAT PIRATES 77-74

Marauder Men's Basketball won the Ventura Tournament for the fifth time in six years, for the second straight season beating the host Pirates for the title, this year 77-74.
Down 69-68 with a minute left, Brandon Wade scored a driving fast break lay-up to put AVC an top to stay. With 11 seconds left, he iced the game with a steal sealing a win that was also helped in large part by Jalen Etienne's four straight free throws down the stretch.
Joseph Moorer scored 22 points to lead everyone. He was eight for 12 and four of those were from three.
The Marauders have now been in the championship game the last six straight times, winning every year except in 2013, when Ventura beat them for the title.
Moorer, who averaged 21.5 points for the tournament was named the Tournament MVP with Gregory Wesley being named All-Tournament.
