AVC Football fell to 1-6 on the season after a 35-16 loss to the Ventura Pirates on Saturday.
The Marauders came out energized and played tough throughout but couldn't keep pace with the Pirates on offense. AVC scored first with a 28-yard Gage Butler field goal in the first quarter. Ventura responded with a touchdown. They continued the offensive pressure in the second quarter with another touchdown to take a 14-3 lead.
