BASEBALL GOES 1-2 IN SERIES AGAINST CITRUS
After dropping game one on the road and two at home, the Marauders bounced back to win game three of the conference series at Citrus 6-2.

After four scoreless innings, AVC got on the board first with an RBI double from Cody Turner and an RBI single from Trey Thomas in the top of the 5th inning. The Owls responded with a couple of runs in the 7th inning to tie it 2-2.
In the top of the 9th, Lucas Martinez put the Marauders on top for good with a solo home run to right field. Trey Thomas then doubled with the bases loaded to add three insurance runs. Thomas finished with 2 hits and 4 RBI. Keon Moseni went 3-for-5 on the day, Jason Zhang went 2-for-3, and both Eddy Stone and Cody Turner(2 RBI) finished 2-for-4. Stone and Turner also recorded home runs in games one and two of the series. Turner pitched seven innings, striking out 11 of 29 batters on Friday. The freshman from Pete Knight High School leads the Marauders in strikeouts on the season with 49. Brayden Molter pitched two innings in relief with one strikeout for the win.
AVC is now .500 at 11-11 overall and 3-6 in conference play. Up next is a doubleheader on Tuesday, March 26, against Porterville at 12:00 and LA Pierce at 7:00 pm.
