BASEBALL OPENS SEASON WITH A PAIR OF WINS AGAINST BARSTOW
Marauders Baseball started the 2024 campaign with a 15-3 win on Friday and a 19-7 win on Saturday against the Barstow Vikings.

Marauders Baseball started the 2024 campaign with a 15-3 win on Friday and a 19-7 win on Saturday against the Barstow Vikings.
AVC totaled 38 hits and just one error across the two games. In game one, Aidan Jbara led the Marauders with 5 RBI on 3 hits. Jason Zhang went 2-for-4 with 3 RBI. Keon Moseni and Joel Calderin Serrano recorded 2 RBI each, while Chisum Demmers went 2-for-3. Darren Roberts struck out 12 batters with no earned runs in six innings of work.
In game two, at Barstow, third baseman Ty Adams led the way, recording the first home run of the season for AVC. A grand slam in the 4th inning. Shortstop Joel Calderin Serrano went 4-for-6 with 3 RBI, while Lucas Martinez, Xavier Cantu (DH), and Aidan Jbara each recorded 2 RBI. Trey Thomas (DH) finished 3-for-5 with an RBI, Keon Moseni finished 3-for-6 with an RBI, and catcher Nick Hagen went 2-for-2 with a run batted in. Kirk Kolano had an RBI with 2 hits. Cody Turner grabbed his first win of the year on the mound with 6 Ks.
