THEOLOGIDY IMPRESSES IN OXNARD
OXNARD - Sophomore sensation Mariah Theologidy finished fifth in her quest to the state meet, Friday afternoon in the opening meet of the season at the Oxnard Invitational.
Theologidy crossed the line in 18:52.60 just behind Briana Valencia of Oxnard College (18:29.60), Glendale College's Angelica Salas (18:42.10), College of the Canyons' Diani Ellis (18:46.20), and Moorpark College's Emma Player (18:50.30).
"I am excited for both the men's and women's teams because we have great leadership coming from the sophomores," AVC head coach Josh Villalobos said. "We have a lot of new talent and look forward to to championship time."
