AVC Women's Tennis lost a close battle with College of the Sequoias 4-5 on Saturday. Kristi Henderson won her first singles match 6-2, 6-1 at the #1 position, while Henderson and Frida Anguiano also won their first doubles match 8-5 in the #1 spot.
After falling to Ventura College, and Santa Monica College earlier in the week, coach Justin Webb acknowledged there is much work to be done, but he was proud of the ladies' effort against Sequoias. He was also excited to see Martinez and Huya pick up an 8-2 doubles win against Santa Monica on Thursday, their first of the season.
The Marauders have two matches on the road... Mt. San Antonio, and Ventura, before returning home to face Mt. San Jacinto on Friday, April 30.
