Despite a 2-0 loss to Citrus on Thursday, AVC Women's Soccer has made it to the postseason.
Their overall record of 13-4-4 (8-2-4 in conference) was good enough to secure a play-in spot, as they will travel to LA Pierce on Thursday, Nov. 16 for a 7:00 pm kickoff.
In Thursday's action, the Owls scored two goals in the second half after a scoreless first half. AVC managed 15 shots (9 on goal) during the contest but couldn't find the net.
Megan Salvesvold finished the regular season as the team leader in goals with 15. Followed by Kaylin Gonzalez (14), Aaliyah Alatorre (10), and Anaya Respeto (7). Gonzalez led the team in assists with 10, followed by Salvesvold with 9 and Kimberly Duarte with 7. Katie Crees recorded 65 saves in regular season play.
