The Marauder women's soccer team beat Citrus College 2-0 on Friday to capture the CCCAA Western State-South Conference Championship. AVC finished undefeated in conference play at 11-0-3.
Isabell Cerda and Kaylin Gonzalez led the Marauders with a goal apiece. Cerda scored at 33:56 with an assist from Megan Salvesvold, while Gonzalez scored at the 88:37 mark off an assist from Kelsey Brustuen. Salvesvold, Emily Serrano, and Brianna Ortega had a shot on goal each, as AVC finished with a total of 16 shots (9 on goal). Goalie Katie Crees recorded 6 saves.
Antelope Valley ended the regular season with an overall record of 14-3-4 and will look to host a playoff game next weekend.
