Women's Soccer won their third straight match with an 8-1 victory over LA Valley on Friday night. Coming off of wins against Oxnard and Bakersfield, the Marauder offense found the net early and often in the first of two meetings on the season against the Monarchs.
Isabell Cerda led the way for AVC with 3 goals, while Kaylin Gonzalez, Kelsey Brustuen, Brianna Ortega, Cassi James, and Paola Figueroa all scored a goal. Figueroa continues to lead the Marauders in goals on the season with six. Kimberly Duarte had a game-high 3 assists, and Kelsey Brustuen had 2 assists. Emily Serrano, Cerda, and James also recorded assists. James is the Marauders' season assist leader with eight.
Antelope Valley dominated the action totaling 28 shots on the day, 20 on goal. Katie Crees and Abree Fry teamed up for 3 saves on the day. The Marauders are now 5-3-1 and are in 4th place in the Western State Conference South. Next on the schedule is a home conference battle against Glendale College on Tuesday, Oct. 4th at 4 pm.
