AVC Women's Soccer lost a non-conference match 2-0 to Santiago Canyon College on Tuesday. The play was fast-paced and physical. The first half was a defensive fight as neither team scored. The Hawks scored in the 51:00 minute and then again at the 68:00 minute mark. The Marauder managed 7 shots on goal, 13 total, but couldn't produce a score. Kaylin Gonzalez led with 4 shots, 3 on goal, while Megan Salvesvold, Emily Serrano, Paola Figueroa, and Lourdes Teodores had a shot on goal each. Cassi James and Isabell Cerda contributed with 2 shots each, and Abree Fry and Katie Crees each recorded a save.
The Marauders will take on Oxnard College next at home on Sept. 23rd at 4:00 pm.
