Women's Soccer recorded an 8-0 win in a conference match-up against Bakersfield College on Tuesday.
AVC jumped out to an early lead behind two goals from Cassi James and never looked back. Bianca Carrillo and Kelsey Brustuen each scored before the end of the half to give the Marauder a 4-0 lead at the break.
Cassi James then opened up the second half with her third goal of the day, followed by another goal from Brustuen and Carillo each. Both Brustuen Carillo finished with two goals and one assist.
Brianna Ortega scored late in the second half for her fourth score of the season. In all, the Marauders tallied 30 shots, 15 on goal. Kelsey Ruiz had three assists, while Anita Artiga and Barbara Vivas recorded one save each.
The Marauders, now 3-1-2 in conference play and 10-3-2 overall, will face, Canyons in a crucial home match-up on Friday, Oct. 22 at 2:00 pm.
