Marauder Women's Soccer beat Norco College 2-0 in Tuesday's match-up at AVC.
AVC came ready to play Tuesday night as they attacked early and often. They totaled 16 shots and nine on goal, but it was Cassi James who found the net first with just over 5 minutes left in the first half.
Bianca Carrillo then scored in the second half with an elusive move to put AVC up 2-0. Carrillo leads the Marauders in goals on the season with 7.
AVC withstood the Mustangs attack and limited them to six shots, five on goal. Barbara Vivas recorded four saves, while Anita Artiga also had a save.
The Marauders, now 5-1, have a long stretch of games on the road with stops at Moorpark, Santiago Canyon, Oxnard, Canyons, Citrus, and West LA before returning home to face Santa Monica on October 12.
