Marauder Women's Soccer player Evencia Welsh has committed to play for the East Stroudsburg University Warriors in Pennsylvania.
Welsh played in 19 games this past season, leading the Marauders with 21 goals and 9 assists. She had two 5-goal games and one game where she scored three times. Evencia joined Antelope Valley College in the 2018-19 season after rehabbing an ACL injury. The 5'7 Forward from Barstow, CA finishes her career at AVC with a total of 37 goals and 15 assists.
Welsh joins a Warrior team that finished 14-7 last season and made it to the NCAA Division II Tournament before losing to #15 ranked Millersville. East Stroudsburg University competes in the NCAA Division II's Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference, which is currently composed of 17 full-time members within Pennsylvania and one in West Virginia.
Welsh seeks to make an immediate impact with the Warriors who are lead by head coach Rob Berkowitz. Berkowitz will be in his 13th season and has a career record of 149-74-26 along with 4 PSAC Titles, 6 NCAA playoff appearances, and 1 Regional Championship.
