Marauders Women's Soccer lost their second conference matchup of the season against the Corsairs 4-1 on Friday.
Santa Monic jumped out to an early lead on an unassisted goal by Dayli Ramos in the 22nd minute. The Corsairs then opened it up with two more goals in the first half by Ceirra Little (25:46, 32:43).
Down 3-0 to start the second half, AVC's offense began to show some life when Jordan Schultz scored her third goal of the season with an unassisted shot in the 63rd minute. The Marauders stayed aggressive but couldn't manage many shots on goal. Vittoria Cataldo narrowly missed in the Marauders only other attempt.
The Corsairs added another goal in the 79th minute, putting a Marauders comeback out of reach. The loss takes AVC to 6-5-1 in the Western State Conference, and 9-8-2 overall. They will face LA Valley on the road before returning home to wrap up their regular season play on November 15th against Bakersfield.
