Lancaster CA - Marauder Women's Soccer won easily over West LA College 9-0 on Tuesday. The win seemed to be sealed from the start as AVC scored twice in the first minute of play. Evencia Welsh scored back to back nine seconds in, and 22 seconds into the contest. Welsh finished with five goals and now leads the Marauders with 12 goals on the season.
Shayla Diaz also had multiple goals as she scored her second and third goals of the season. West LA was seemingly outmatched for the entire game as most of the action was their side of the field.
Presley Marshall and Alexsandra Castellanos both scored their first goals of the year. In all, the Marauders had 21 shots on goal and 29 total shots. Vittoria Cataldo had three assists on the day while Tayler Miranda had two assists. Marshall and Diaz each had one assist.
The Marauders (4-4-2) will face stronger competition at Glendale and at Santa Monica, before returning home to face LA Valley College on Friday, October 18th.
