Marauder Women's Golf won their second straight match on Monday at Sundale Country Club in Bakersfield.
Marauder Women's Golf won their second straight match on Monday at Sundale Country Club in Bakersfield. The team shot a 375, 9 shots lower than second-place Bakersfield, while College of the Canyons and Citrus College both recorded a 403 on the day.
On a day where temperatures reached 104 degrees, four golfers withdrew from the field or didn't record a score. The extreme heat affected everyone; however, all Marauders were able to fight through and finish. Arlene Salvador shot the lowest score of the day with a 74. Madison Schafer shot a fifth-place 88 while the rest of the team recorded scores over 100.
"I'm proud of how hard the girls fought today despite the challenging conditions... Arlene hit the ball and managed the golf course very well today." said head coach Patrick Londono.
The Marauders are scheduled to play next on Monday, September 13th, as Santa Barbara Community College hosts WSC #3 at Alisal River Golf Course.
