MARAUDER WOMEN'S GOLF ADDS TOP TALENT TO LINEUP WITH SALVADOR AND SCHAFER
AVC Women's Golf is excited to welcome Arlene Faye Salvador and Madison Joy Schafer to their roster for the upcoming season.
AVC Women's Golf is excited to welcome Arlene Faye Salvador and Madison Joy Schafer to their roster for the upcoming season.
Salvador, a freshman from Highland High School, is a 4-time individual Golden League champion and has the school record of 67. She is a 1st Place Champion in America Junior Golf Association's 2019 Explore Lompoc Preview at La Purisima, as well as a 2nd Alternate in the U.S. Girls Junior Championship Qualifier at Lake Barrington. Arlene placed 4th in the L.A. City Championship and she Tied for 7th Place in the Kia Junior Championship Qualifier.
"Arlene is a special talent that can achieve whatever she works towards in the game of golf. I look forward to seeing what she can and will accomplish while at Antelope Valley College and as she continues on her path is this game," said head coach Patrick Londono.
Salvador most recently tied for 7th Place in the 12th Annual Skytrak Western States Tournament in February at Menifee Lakes Country Club. The multiple CIF Semi-Finalist seeks to make an immediate impact with the Marauders.
Madison Joy Schafer, another talented freshman joining the Marauders, comes from Quartz Hill High School. Schafer has only been playing golf for years and has already shown great talent. The two-time First Team All Golden League standout is on the Principal's list with a 4.0 GPA. Madison has shot a personal best even par in competitive play.
"Madison has great talent, and I look forward to seeing her continued growth both from a fundamental and course management standpoint," remarked Londono.
Salvador and Schafer will join All-Conference talent Makayla Dormin and Melody Garcia, who were critical parts in helping the Marauders qualify for Southern California Regionals last season for the first time in school history. With a host of current and incoming talent, AVC Women's Golf is looking forward to a very successful upcoming season.
