Women's Basketball's Jadis Watson has signed with Dominican University in San Rafael, California. Watson led the Marauders this past season in scoring with 13.7 points per game and rebounds with 15.5 per game. The 5'11 Forward/Center averaged a team-high 32.2 minutes per contest and had a career-best 30-rebounds in a January game against Citrus College.
After graduating from Lancaster High School, Watson spent two seasons at Antelope Valley College. Throughout her 31-game career at AVC, she scored 412 points (13.3 per game), 463 rebounds (14.9 per game), and accumulated 68 assists, 38 steals, and 36 blocks.
Watson joins a Penguins team that went 18-10 overall last season with wins over Azusa Pacific, Biola University, and Humboldt State before falling to PointLoma in the opening round of the PacWest Championships. The Penguins compete in the NCAA's Division II PacWest conference and are under the leadership of head coach Tim LaKose who has been the head coach since 2014.
