Despite 17 points from Bailey Cassell, the Marauders dropped a conference home game against Glendale College 59-43 on Wednesday. Cassell was the only Marauder to reach double digits as AVC played close in three of the four periods. The deficit created in the second quarter was the difference as the Vaqueros outscored AVC 8-21.
Jadis Watson, Eriona Williams, and Sara Heier chipped in 6 points each, while Watson and Vanessa Fletes led the Marauders in rebounds with 8 apiece.
AVC will look to even the score with a rematch against Glendale in February. The Marauders fall to 0-3 in conference play with the loss. They will face Citrus College next at home on Saturday at 7:00 pm.
