The Marauders started out hot outscoring the Corsairs 29-14 in the first quarter. Niyah Page led the way with 15 points in the opening period. Page finished with 18 points, a game-high 15 rebounds, and 4 assists.
Santa Monica scored 16 in the third quarter, their best output of the night, but AVC was still able to edge them by three in the period. The Marauder defense stepped up in the 4th as the Corsairs only managed 4 points, sealing the 37-point victory.
Kianna Cross finished with 14 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 steals, while Josephine Ferreira had 9 points and 10 rebounds. Sara Navarro finished with 9 points.
The Marauders have won five straight and will take on Bakersfield on the road before returning home to face Glendale in a crucial match-up on Saturday at 5:00 pm.
