AVC Women's Basketball closed out their regular season play with a 71-37 victory over the Barstow Vikings.
LANCASTER - AVC Women's Basketball closed out their regular season play with a 71-37 victory over the Barstow Vikings.
Tori Dunn led all scorers with 18 points. Dunn also had 6 steals and 6 rebounds. Sasha Duckett had 13 points, 11 rebounds, 7 steals, and 5 assists in 29 minutes of play.
Barstow outscored AVC 14-11 in the 1st quarter, but could not manage double-digit points in any of the remaining quarters. The Marauders' defense was smothering as they tallied a total of 21 steals and 30 defensive rebounds. AVC's offense didn't let up either as Malaiya Patton and Semajynique Steen both scored 10 points each while Sara Navarro had 7.
The Lady Marauders shot 44% from the floor including 6-11 from behind the 3-point line. They finished 7-20 overall and 2-8 in conference play.
