GLENDORA - The Marauder women's basketball team shot a season low 21 percent and for the second time this season lost to Moorpark, 46-41, at the Citrus College Crossover.
Of AVC's nine losses this season, six have come by six points or fewer including a couple of five-point losses to Moorpark. The Raiders defeated the Marauders 54-49 at the AVC Holiday Tournament last month. The Marauders have not shot the ball well against Moorpark as their average field goal percentage in only 25 percent.
AVC held a six-point lead heading into the fourth quarter but stumbled and was outscored 20-9 in the final frame.
Shantanel Bivens scored 14 points and grabbed 21 rebounds to help pace AVC, while teammate Deja Smith finished with 13 points and 11 rebounds.
