AVC Softball picked up four more wins last week with a 17-0 road win over San Bernardino, an 11-3 win over Ventura, and a 7-0, 6-1 sweep of College of the Desert at home.

AVC Softball picked up four more wins last week with a 17-0 road win over San Bernardino, an 11-3 win over Ventura, and a 7-0, 6-1 sweep of College of the Desert at home.
Wednesday's action against Ventura College included home runs from Natalia Hernandez and Marley Delgado. Delgado finished 3-for-3 with 3 RBI, while Hernandez finished 2-for-2 with 1 RBI. Jolene Miramontes batted 3 runs in off 2 hits, and Hartley Lundquist recorded 2 RBI. Payton Marlin struck out 4 in 5 innings of work in the circle.
In Friday's double-header against College of the Desert, AVC outscored the Roadrunners 13-1, totaling 19 hits on the day. Freshman Tenley Puett recorded her second home run of the season, while Hartley Lundquist (4 hits, 3 RBI), Analise Memory (2 RBI, 3 hits), Jeannette Camarena (4-for-5), and Mia Romero (2 RBI) had an excellent day at the plate. Jolene Miramontes and Marley Delgado also recorded an RBI each. Delgado still sits atop the WSC-South in RBI with 26 and home runs at 5, while Hernandez leads the conference in batting average at .595.
In the circle, Miramontes struck out 9 batters in game 1, while Payton Marlin picked up her conference-leading 6th win of the season with 6 Ks in game 2. The freshman from Quartz Hill HS also ranks 3rd in the conference in ERA at 3.31.
The Marauders are back in action on Tuesday, 2/25, with a home game against Cerro Coso at 2:00 pm.
