TWO MORE MARAUDERS MOVE ON AS ALCANTAR AND HERNANDEZ ACCEPT OFFERS TO MONTREAT
AVC Softball's Victoria Alcantar and Alanna Hernandez have committed to Montreat Colleg
AVC Softball's Victoria Alcantar and Alanna Hernandez have committed to Montreat College. The Montreat Cavaliers compete in the NAIA's Appalachian Athletic Conference in Montreat, North Carolina. Alcantar and Hernandez played for two years at Antelope Valley and helped the Marauders win a 2023 WSC Conference Championship.
Victoria received 1st Team All-Conference honors and led the Marauders in strikeouts with 65 in the circle this past year. The sophomore from Apple Valley High High School pitched 156 innings and totaled 148 K's during her time at AVC.
Hernandez played in all 43 games last season, logging 19 runs, 4 home runs, and 19 RBI. The infielder from Buena High School received 2nd Team All-Conference honors.
The Cavaliers are led by head coach Corbin Weeks, who is in his first season as head softball coach at Montreat. Prior to his new role, Weeks spent four seasons with the Montreat College baseball program after joining the staff in the winter of 2019.
